Home > About Us - Fiona Pirie

Fiona joined Dynamic Equipment Company (DEC) part-time at its inception in 2000 and then became the company’s first full-time employee in 2002.

Initially, Fiona set up the Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Personnel arms of DEC and when the company secured its first major contract, Fiona started as an Office Manager.

As the company developed in structure and size, Fiona was able to try her hand at many aspects of the business. This saw her assist in building and cultivating departments and staff teams.

Since then Fiona has headed up the Accounts department and followed in Richard Hay and Simon Newberry’s goals and strategies to make DEC what it is today. Fiona’s dedication and enthusiasm for the business saw her develop into the role of Company Director in 2005.

Part of Fiona’s current role is to champion a new Project Costing System and develop the Human Resources department. Her business motto is “No team, no company” which is focused on getting staff to work seamlessly together.

Away from work, Fiona has a love for the great outdoors. She has a home in the country and is proud not to have a television under her roof. Photography is Fiona’s new hobby and she is challenging her fellow colleagues to a Photography Competition to encourage them to share in her picture passion.
